The Axe Murderer

The Axe Murderer

🔴 HIGHAppears: Recurring threat
Behavior
The signature slasher villain and the camp's most dangerous humanoid threat: closes in along passable terrain, prefers isolated targets, and swings an axe with brutal damage.
Weakness
Hates traps: Wyatt's trap lines are its natural predator; single-file terrain like bridges compresses its approach into a queue.
Counter-Strategy
Never trade blows toe-to-toe. The correct shape: pre-seed traps at bridges and gaps → counselors stand fast behind the line → let it walk in. When focus fire is needed, burst it down in one turn and disengage immediately.
The Killer Clown

The Killer Clown

🔴 HIGHAppears: Recurring threat
Behavior
The clown villain's classic playbook: it weaponizes panic — scattering the campers first, then harvesting them one by one. Every turn it spends on screen is an exam for your escort-chain discipline.
Weakness
Its hunt feeds on disorder. When the camper herd stays clustered and evacuations stay orderly, the Clown's threat level drops sharply.
Counter-Strategy
Against the Clown you manage campers, not the Clown: Rally them into a tight group with Dave and walk them back to bed early, shrinking the chaos surface. Every turn it whiffs brings you closer to dawn.
The Toxic Horror

The Toxic Horror

🟡 MEDIUMAppears: Recurring threat
Behavior
Moves randomly around the map with no fixed patrol route — it can arrive from any direction, including the rear you assumed was safe. Its in-game intel tooltip spells out this random-movement trait.
Weakness
Random movement also means it never deliberately avoids traps; wandering into your trap line is only a matter of time.
Counter-Strategy
Never chase a random mover — you cannot out-run dice. Play ambush instead: blanket the camp entrances with traps, pull campers into the inner ring, and let its random walk bump into your preparation. Build the habit of glancing at the minimap (top right) every single turn.
Monster Waves (Escalation)

Monster Waves (Escalation)

🟡 MEDIUMAppears: All 30 levels
Behavior
The game's core structure: 30 procedural levels of increasingly relentless monster waves. Monster counts and compositions keep scaling as you progress, and Endless Summer mode removes the ceiling entirely.
Weakness
Wave strength grows on a fixed curve with your level — out-farm it by gathering early and upgrading your defenses ahead of schedule.
Counter-Strategy
Treat every level as a farm for the next one: gather hard by day and lay traps early, always investing toward the NEXT wave. Past level 20 your defense must be fully shaped — bridge trap lines plus a Rally escort chain, both mandatory.
